Acumentrics, Inc. proudly exhibited virtually during SOFIC Virtual 2021! Though the event was not the typical in-person event, it was still a great one.
“SOFIC is one of the largest conferences Acumentrics exhibits at each year and though we missed seeing everyone face-to-face, it went off without a hitch. It was as close to a live event as we could get with the pandemic still in effect. When the pandemic hit, Acumentrics created a virtual demonstration room within our main conference space. We set it up just as if you were with us in person and have all of our products ready to showcase. We had several great virtual demos during the event and were able to showcase all of our current and new rugged power solutions” -Justin Genest, Technical Account Manager (Military).
The main take-away from SOFIC was we all are ready to get back to “normal”! We want to see the show, collaborate and network in-person, shake hands, and feel the excitement. vSOFIC provided the best possible alternative and we are grateful for the opportunity it provided to Acumentrics this year. During vSOFIC, Acumentrics showcased the latest in Rugged Uninterruptible Power Supplies (RUPS) as well Power Distribution Units:
Half-Rack™ Rugged UPS: Key take-away: Power Has Never Been More Portable
Acumentrics uses advanced technologies in power conversion and high-performance digital control to optimize the SwaP-C of the 1000W Rugged ½ Rack UPS™ family. This unit offers a new level of power portability to military applications in a narrow ½ Rack 1U chassis, providing significant savings of rack space and reduced weight. 1000 Watts DC provides the required autonomous power needed by small form factor networking and compute platforms that are supporting “At the Quick Halt” and “On the Move” mounted and dismounted tactical missions.
SmartPDU™ is the latest in Power Distribution and the key take-aways are as follows:
Flexibility: Each outlet can be remotely as well as independently operated, monitored, and reprogrammed. Unlike conventional PDU's, you are not locked into a design upon delivery.
Convenience: All settings and operational parameters can be monitored and controlled remotely in real time.
Security: Remote monitoring and control is secure via embedded software. User access can be controlled to prevent unauthorized changes.
System Data Collection: Key factors including current draw, power, temperature, and input voltage are tracked and collected for later review. This data can help characterize electronic subsystems and potentially anticipate faults.
